We also provide hosted services: backup satellite control, fully hosted in-flight operations, TCR station service. Thales Alenia Space also delivers telecom user segment main products & applications.

• Space Infrastructure and Transportation

  

  Thales Alenia Space displays a unique experience and technological capabillity to design, build and operate complex systems for life in space, such as re-entry vehicles and flying test-beds, next generation technologies (inflatable structure, regenerative environmental control, advanced/hot structures for high performance vehicles) and thermo-mechanical components design developement and test (structure, thermal control, tanks...)stems for life in space.

• Observation and Environment

  

  Thales Alenia Space is the Worldwide leader in meteorology from geostationary orbit, oceanography and space altimetry. Thales Alenia Space is also the European leader in Earth observation and science ground segments, being the prime contractor for major European civil institutional ground segments, the Eumetsat partner for meteorology and climatology, and providing a proven expertise in large telescope for Universe exploration.

  European reference for end-to-end navigation and aeronautical communication systems: prime contractorship, system engineering, integration for guaranteed high performance systems. We combine a dual approach combining navigation and telecommunication. We also develop the downstream market of Applications: Location-Based Services for telecom, transport and special user solutions.

• Ground Systems

  

  The value-chain for satellite solutions includes provision of equipment or subsystems for prime contractors. Thales Alenia Space not only provides its own solutions directly to its end-customers, we also provide components and subsystems to other integrators.
